Pre-Service Instructions

Before your appointment for permanent make-up, please review and follow these important guidelines:

• Skin Sensitivity: Delicate skin or sensitive areas may experience slight swelling or redness. We recommend avoiding social plans for the same day. Lip liner may appear "crusty" for up to one week post-procedure.
• Make-Up: Do not wear any make-up to your appointment. If you have specific color or shape preferences, bring pictures and your current make-up for reference. You'll have an opportunity to apply make-up at the appointment if needed.
• Hair Removal: If hair removal (e.g., tweezing, waxing) is necessary in the treatment area, it should be done at least 24 hours before your procedure. Avoid electrolysis within five days prior to the procedure and refrain from any hair removal methods for a week afterward.
• Eyelash/Eyebrow Dyeing: Do not dye your eyelashes or eyebrows within 48 hours before the procedure. Wait one week after the eyebrow or eyeliner procedure before dyeing them.
• Contact Lenses: For eyeliner procedures, do not wear contact lenses to your appointment and wait a week after the procedure before wearing them again.
• Safety Precautions: If undergoing an eyeliner procedure, due to potential watering or swelling, it's advisable to have someone available who can drive you home if necessary.
• Cold Sores/Fever Blisters: If you've experienced issues with cold sores, fever blisters, or mouth ulcers in the past, the lip liner procedure may trigger a recurrence. Consult your doctor for preventive measures.
• Allergy Testing: We strongly recommend allergy testing the pigment before your scheduled procedure.
• Medications: Refrain from using aspirin or ibuprofen for 7 days prior to your procedure.

Post-Service Instructions

Immediately Following Cosmetic Tattoo Procedure:

Apply ice to the treated area for 10-30 minutes to reduce swelling and aid in healing.

For 14 Days Following Application of Permanent Cosmetics:

• Apply Antibiotic Ointment: Generously apply antibiotic ointment all day long for ten days following the procedure, using a clean cotton swab (not your fingertips).
• Epithelial Crust: Do not rub or pick at the epithelial crust; allow it to flake off naturally. Avoid scrubbing, cleansing creams, or chemicals. Gently cleanse the treated area with mild antibacterial soap, rinsing with water and patting dry. Avoid exposing the area to full pressure of water in the shower.
• Avoid Soaking: Do not soak the treated area in baths, swimming pools, or hot tubs. Avoid swimming in fresh, salt, or chlorinated pool water.
• Sun Protection: Protect the treated area from sun exposure. Use total sun block once the area has healed to prevent pigment color from fading.
• Eye Makeup: Refrain from using mascara or eyelash curler for seven days post-procedure. Replace old products with new ones to prevent bacterial contamination.
• Makeup: Do not apply any makeup to the procedure area for one week following the procedure.
• Blood Donation: If you are a blood donor, you cannot give blood for 1 year following your procedure (as per American Red Cross guidelines).
• Use of Bandages: Use sterile bandages and dressings when necessary.

Important Note:

At the first sign of infection, adverse reaction, or allergic reaction to the procedure, notify your healthcare practitioner immediately. Failure to follow post-treatment instructions may result in pigment loss, discoloration, or infection.

Colors may initially appear brighter and more defined immediately after the procedure. As healing progresses, colors will soften. A touch-up procedure may or may not be necessary. Final results cannot be fully assessed until healing is complete.

Touch-Up Procedures:

Touch-up procedures should be scheduled 6 weeks following the initial procedure. Additional fees may apply for touch-ups requested after 120 days. Please contact us to schedule a touch-up appointment if needed.
